When Is It Time To Harvest?

It is very easy to get lost on the internet when it comes to proper harvesting of cannabis. Most generally you will read articles that ask you to look at the trichome head color, is it clear? is it amber? Honestly, That is such a advanced thing. It isn't really applicable to a home grower. The core concept around harvesting time based off trichome color comes down to two things. The more amber it is. The stronger and more sedative it will be. If the Trichomes are clear it will be a much lighter hash that is made from the cannabis.
Realistically this is important in a production aspect. At home it is so much easier. What we are looking for is the bud sites to close. Initially they start with shooting out 2 little white hairs. Iconic honestly, But then more and more hairs stack and then they fill in and turn orange. In the flowering cycle it will continue to shoot white hairs constantly. The right time is when the buds have become dense. They will show almost no white hairs. Like the picture below.
